KAPOW = Kevin’s Art Project of the Week

This week I made a set of stacking trays (boxes?) for organizing ongoing project parts. The idea is to stash in use (but not necessarily done with right now) parts, tools, etc. in something that keeps them from getting lost or mixed with other sets of ongoing projects do-dads. The trays stack and have a top—everything closes up and looks nice.

The boxes went together pretty well. I used a jig to drill the holes for the dowels that reinforce the corner mitre joints (the ovals). The jig was a bit of a learning experience…and some of the dowels look better than others.

I still need to figure out a way to secure the trays together when transporting or moving them. I considered using magnets, but thought it might get in the way if using with metal parts.

Remember, there is no definition of art.
