I had other plans for this week’s KAPOW. I completed both a leather-working project and my first ever wood-turned segmented bowl (on the lathe)…..but those will be lost to history (maybe Instagram?).
On July 26 (Sunday), I did a mammoth hike–the on the map elevation difference was 4200 feet–in the Hamma Hamma drainage up to the (unnamed) pass above Lake of the Angels. In these COVID-19 times, I was waiting on some fellow trail hikers to pass….as I was waiting I snapped some photos of these flowers and really liked the ultra-blue sky and blurred background of the ‘ring of trees’.
